For most of the students walking the aisles and alleys of the premier university, physical appearance - physical out look, is their prime focus. Their burden is to make sure that they appear in the latest fashion so as to be in the limelight - the mainstream of modernity. Rushing in for the latest fashion. Whether it bespeak well of them or not. Whether it is provocative or not. Some of the so-called fashionable dresses are so transparent that you could see through. So one wonders if it would have been better if the person goes naked is the clothes they were to cover themselves cover nothing but rather exposes their nakedness the further. The dreams of some people walking beneath the towers are to be in such abominable dresses in the name of fashion. Even if they cannot afford it, the little money they have to invest in their education, they invest it in devilish fashionable dresses. Even if it becomes necessary to descend into hell to get money for their fashionable clothing, they will not hesitate a minute but will go with glee to appear in an out fit prescribed by circumstances beyond their control, their minds, their imagination. and when you cherish your culture, remain untainted, appear in decent clothes, you are branded a naiveté, inexperienced, uncivilized. What is the so called modernist trend they are fervently pursuing? What is the meaning of modernity. But a savage beast, the lowermost nadir of primitivism. Barbarism. they ladies here are conceited with the idea that they are on the threshold of receiving the maximum education in the country. And this gives them the power, the authority to estrange themselves from their people and culture. They think the education gives them the right to redefine their culture. By borrowing the madness inherent in the most depraved and corrupt practices. An indigenous culture is archaic, out of fashion; an alien culture whether good or evil is the best. Looking at them at the premier university conjuring such fanciful ideas, one wonders the kind of knowledge they are receiving. And the kind of elders they will become. As they have nothing to praise about themselves, as the notion is that nothing good comes out of them. if the alien cultural practices they are worshiping were degraded by its adherents, would it have had an appeal to them. We have a rich culture we can raise to a global standard. Now those acquiring the highest education in the world, why don’t they use their knowledge to develop their culture and way of life they deem barbaric, repugnant. And what is wrong been an African. Why must only the black man renounce his culture, his identity? his very soul. Is it necessary? Must we wander this continent with the souls of the whites? They stroll campus with the filthy mentality that they are of a class. they are very shrill, vociferous about issues. About equality, feminism, they have fought hard to be recognized in the society, they assert strongly that what men can do, they can do better. With their superior knowledge, what kind of example are they setting, they are not themselves anymore, they have abjured their identity.
